Building Teams

This is an example of what we could do in half a day- the most important thing to remember is I will tailor whatever we do to YOUR needs.

Effective communication is not only a key leadership competency, but a vital part of getting support for new ideas and moving business plans forward. This communications module focuses on delivering complicated or technical information in language lay people can understand.

Active listening and a respect for other points of view, though easy to agree with intellectually, are often difficult to put into practice. By working on real-life examples we will explore how messages can be conveyed persuasively and crises averted.

In addition to teaching Management Communication at Cornell University for 40 years, I have been a leader in both the public and private sectors; in one case, as an elected political official, in the other as an entrepreneurial founder and director of an annual festival of science and art. I have found that in all situations, clear, open, and efficient communication is the basis for success.
